Scouts, November 16-30,2008
Last week was our Pack meeting. This is a monthly get-to-gether for all the boys and their families. We started the evening with an award ceremony. All the boys in my den received at least one pin for an achievement they had completed. Then we were treated to a show by a magician. The boys were captivated by all the tricks. He even pulled a real rabbit out of a box at the end.Durring Thanksgiving week, our Pack took toys and books to the Children's Hospital here in Denver. We collected these items at our Pack meeting for Good Turn Week. This is a nation wide event held once a year to give back to our local community by doing a service project. We were given a tour of the first floor by Kathleen McBride. I think the boys liked the ball sculpture the most. We finished the day with icecream. Wow, what a fun day!
