Giving Back

I will never forget that sunny, Friday afternoon when my daughter came to me and showed me her scarred wrists! This was the beginning of our families experience with Mental Health issues. Thanks to the caring doctor's she was able to work with, my wonderful daughter is healthy, thriving and contributing to society. This experience led me to support two amazing groups.

The first is To Write Love On Her Arms or better known as TWLOHA. This group of people started out to help just one person who had been abusing herself and has blossomed into a world wide movement of people who care and want to help those with a suicidal thoughts and cutting addictions. "To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.  TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery." *

The second group is a non-profit organization called National Alliance on Mental Illness or NAMI.  " From its inception in 1979, NAMI has been dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness."** I have personally completed the Family to Family course and it has helped me to understand Mental Illness, at least a little better. This website is full of information to help you or your loved one.

I invite you to visit the web pages of both of these organizations. It is my intent to continue to support both of these organizations by contributing 1% of my net profits to each organization. I encourage you to find a way to give back to your community by supporting an organization of your own. By using my coaching resources, you will be giving back and paying it forward at the same time. Thank you for your support.
