Go Red Women's Expo
It is so important to me to use my crown to support great causes. I was able to do that at the Denver Post Women's Expo. It is even better when I get to do it with a fellow title holder. It was so wonderful to see Anita, Miss Poland International again. We were able to sign women up for the Go Red for Women campaign. This is a vital outreach to the community to educate women about heart health. If you missed the booth at the expo, you can find out more information on line at Go Red .

Foil Salon
I had the honor of attending the grand opening of Foil Salon. Brie Hawk is the owner. She is Miss Westminster International 2009 and was Miss Teen Colorado International 2005. She is such a kind and giving person. If you live north of Denver, you need to check out her new salon. It is top of the line and in the cutest little house. Her web page is Foil Salon .

Centennial City Council Meeting
An important part of communicating is listening, so on Monday night, some of the boys from Troop 794 visited the Centennial City Council meeting as a requirement for the Communications Merit Badge for which I am the merit badge councilor. The boys led the pledge of allegiance before the meeting started. We heard a lively discussion on the plan for a new park. There were a lot of ideas that were shared. After the meeting, we went to Wendy's to discuss what we heard. These boys showed true character by sitting quietly through a two hour council meeting.
9 Health Fair
Monday I volunteered at the 9 Health Fair that was held at Meridian Retirement Community. So many of the residents came out to support this outreach to the community. It is great to see that volunteering can be done at any age. I worked with the blood draw area. I helped direct traffic and checked paperwork. This is the 30th year that these Health Fairs have been offered. They run through the end of the week, so check out 9 news for listings of where they are being held. Bradly, Amanda and Della were so upbeat. If you get a chance to volunteer, do it! It is so much fun!

Newspaper Article
Friday I met with "Gadfly" Glen of the Glenndale Cherry Creek Chronicle in Cherry Creek where I am a member of the Cherry Creek Chamber and on the Committee for Women of Cherry Creek. He is doing a story about me as a business owner of Kitchen Tune-Up and me as Mrs. Colorado International. This article will focus on the many hats/crowns I wear including the mom one. Glen is such an interesting man. I enjoyed my time with him. I look forward to seeing the story in the April addition.

New Joint Venture Scouts and AHA
Start Walk
Crossover Ceremony
Here I am being thanked for helping this Den finish Cub Scouts and their Webelos requirements. Team work is a big part of Scouting.

Our Den was responsible for clean up after the ceremony. Citizenship includes cleaning up after ourselves, weather it is a big oil spill or a small milk spill. Way to go boys!

Civil Air Patrol
A big thank you hug from the kindergarten class.
A wonderfully smart group of Kindergartners. They already know about making smart choices, just like my Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts! I am looking forward to working with Chaplain Rourk and the Civil Air Patrol again soon.
