I worked the booth sponsored by the Westminster Fire Department. We would ask kids safety questions and they would win a prize. These wonderful ladies worked the booth the entire day.
The Arvada Pipes and Drums Corps entertained the crowd.
I couldn't resist a picture with the models for the Fired Up For Kids calender. The proceeds benefit the burn center of the Children's Hospital. They were at the show pre-selling calenders and signing autographs. What a great fundraiser.
Dave Saegle and the Boogie Man from Kool 105 were the emcees for the awards ceremony. There were awards for a variety of different categories including the newest one, motorcycles. Ambassadors for the Children's Hospital were on stage to help hand out the awards. Congratulations to the winners.
I couldn't resist a picture with this beautiful Chevy Nomad. You never know what will happen when you ask to have your picture taken at an event. The owner asked me to participate in a Susan G. Komen event called Bra Art. Stay tuned for my work of art to be displayed on October 2nd.
Of course, we need to remember why this event took place. Rose is one of the Ambassadors for Children's Hospital. She wanted a picture with me, but I think I was more in awe of her. Thank you Rose for your encouraging spirit.
